| Customer Reviews: Great introduction and FREE July 8, 2010 Brad Teare (Providence, Utah, USA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
If you are a fan of classical music you need to download this free sampler. It is a fantastic offer with over 38 minutes of finely recorded classical music. My only criticism is that the piano in the Piano Quintet in A major could have been recorded with a bit more clarity. It seemed to have a bit of a hollow sound. But I am being really critical here.
Thanks for this excellent introduction to the classical period!
Oh, yuck July 19, 2010 J. GARRATT 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
The second movement from "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" is almost unbearably slow. It's like being stuck behind an elderly motorist. You just want to get out and push their car, do SOMETHING to get it moving.
The movement from Beethoven's ninth symphony almost sounds like it has sour notes being played. Really? Wrong notes? Just because Beethoven was deaf when he composed it doesn't mean you have to sound like you're deaf while playing it.
The excerpt from Haydn's 100th symphony doesn't sound a whole lot better. The strings and oboe are painfully out of tune during the quieter passages. Seriously, was this orchestra on strike? And when the cymbals come in during the forte parts? Ugh, it just sounds kind of silly.
The two piano pieces I think you can keep. The rest, move to trash.
Download stinks August 2, 2010 Walter Prochorenko 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Due to limited time on downloads, you may not be able to download. Customer service is slow and then you get another limited time download offer which is unclear as to how it is to be used. By the time you figure it out, the download time expires and you're stuck with nothing, nada, just a big waste of time.
I bought 19 albums and was able to download only 4 or 5.
Gave up trying.
