| Customer Reviews: Truly Magnificent March 19, 2009 EllenRipley112 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I haven't heard the rest of "No Line On The Horizon" yet, but if "Magnificent" is any indication, I need to run out and buy it right now. "Magnificent" is, in my humble opinion, the most awesome song U2 has done in their entire career--and I've heard most of their stuff since the beginning. This reached into my gut and pulled out the best of me, and reminds me in hard times that "only love can heal such a scar". The world needs to hear this and take in its true message.
One of U2's great songs April 19, 2009 c 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After getting through just one minute of this song, you can tell you're in for something special. The guitar work by the edge is epic, beautiful, and haunting. And Bono's simply melody and lyric, "Only love can leave such a mark," rings so true. This song truly is Magnificent and is one of U2's all time great songs! I can't wait to hear the remixes and see crowds jumping to this song our tour!
U2's Maginificence April 17, 2009 Michael Kerner (Brooklyn, New York U.S.A.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There is no question about U2, and the strength Bono, Larry, Adam & The Edge have shown over the years. They still have a great stride when it comes to making really great songs, and a rhythm that matches too. Which feels like it is a breath of fresh air. That is proof with their latest single, Magnificent, the second single from No Line On The Horizon. The song brings in a good appeal from Bono's voice, and honestly is one of the better singles from the album. The song on its own is a good follow-up to the way Get On Your Boots drove the album out to fans, and this song is honestly better than most of the songs that've been on radio right now. The songs' title is like the song mostly Magnificent. I hope U2 keeps it up with the next one like this one drove.
